First of all, congrats to the Captain on the new puppy. Super cute.

Seriously, that dog is aggressively adorable.

I have two issues with the whole announcement though.

1. That sweatshirt. Dude. I get it you're a Florida boy but you need to read the room. The Bears are a bit of a sore subject right now and the Dolphins are kind of a boogeyman for the Monsters of the Midway. Trigger warning on the following video for any Bear fan.

2. Kevin? Before I judge too harshly, if it's a tribute to a friend or something like that then I'll let it slide. But otherwise...

I thought I might be missing something so I googled "Dogs named Kevin"

I clicked that reddit link and got this story:

I have a coworker named Faxon who occasionally brings his dog into work to visit. His dog's name is Kevin. Today, another coworker asked him why he chose the name Kevin. His response?

"Have you heard my first name? I needed to balance out the weird. I gave him the most normal human name I could think of."

I couldn't stop laughing. I always thought his name was a bit odd, and I guess he does too. For the record, it's apparently a family surname.

So as you can see I'm not alone. Best case it's weird and a little funny. Worst case is it's weird and not funny.

It's weird is what I'm getting at.

To each their own. I've always wanted a dog named Roger, I guess Kevin isn't too far off.

Think about it though Anthony, the dogs still young so you could probably still easily change it.

Real quick: My top 5 dog names:

  1. Spike
  2. Frank
  3. Scooter
  4. Rusty
  5. Leonard
