Your LAST Chance to Eat One of Best Fall Snacks in Illinois, Cider Donut Sundae
The original Cider Donut Sundae is back, but not forever. In fact, it will only be available on just two different dates in October. Don't miss these.
In 2020, when I first shared some thoughts about this Cherry Valley, Illinois business, I wrote of their incredible gift. It is a life well-lived if you are close to a human being that does incredible things in a kitchen with food. Who is the person you're close with that creates foods so delicious that eating it feels like you've been given a gift?
Some of those special people work here,
Cherry Valley's Cattle & Cream Market
The very first time you had a cider donut, do you remember when it was? My first cider donut was in the early fall of 1995, I had just moved to the Rockford area early that spring. For 27 years now, I have never had an apple cider donut I didn't like. What they created at Cattle & Cream is the most magnificent dessert I've ever seen or tasted. It is every one of my favorite sweet dessert flavors.
The Original Apple Cider Donut Sundae from Cattle & Cream Market in Cherry Valley
If you've had one, you know, if you haven't had one yet, prepare for your life to change a little, mine sure did. One warm apple cider donut from Valley Orchard, a BIG scoop of your choice of ice cream, two toppings, and whipped cream.
These Cattle & Cream treats will only be available on 2 different occasions in 2022. The first event is Thursday, October 6th from 3-7 pm. The event is called Oktoberfest and it's being held at The Bricks of Cherry Valley event venue located at 125 East State Street in Cherry Valley.
You should plan on having one of their pork chop sandwiches right off the grill, first.
The Bricks of Cherry Valley is a brand new event space, that you could rent for your own event. Make sure to give them some love on Facebook.
The only other day the Cattle & Cream Apple Cider Donut Sundaes will be available is Sunday, October 9th, from 11 am to 8 pm, at the store. They're located at 105 N Cherry Street.
