Do you remember the first time you stepped inside Rockford's MetroCenter to see a concert?

Maybe you were a child and your first concert was with your parents. Maybe it was an artist they really liked? Or, you were lucky and your first show was to see someone your parents wanted to make sure you got the chance to see in concert. No matter which one is your story, you had awesome parents.

Passing down a love for live music is one of the things I get most excited about sharing with my children.

April 4th, 1991, New Kids on the Block at the Rockford MetroCenter

This was my wife's first concert as well.

You know their mom was saying prayers when they started picking kids out of the audience.

My first concert experience was with my mom to see Tom Jones.

The stories she could tell!

No doubt the MetroCenter was filled with crying girls that night.

Yep. You had to go!

Now that's an unforgettable night.

That's quite a mix of first-show possibilities.

I saw John during Mellencamp but after Cougar.
