Belvidere Teacher Recognized For Making Students Feel Safe and Inspired

Congratulations to our newest Teacher Of The Week, Mrs. Rossi from Belvidere South Middle School in Belvidere.

As Teacher Of The Week, Mrs. Rossi received an enormous bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and a beautiful arrangement from Broadway Florist.

Mrs. hamper was nominated by Connie Zyer,  the parent of one of her students.Connie writes,

Ms. Rossi goes out of her way to help her students and her students in the past. My daughter was in her class last year in 7th grade and they grew a special bond. My daughter had a rough end to the year due to bullying and Ms. Rossi was there to help her.
This year didn’t start off well for our daughter due to bullying and she missed some school and fell behind. Now that our daughter is in 8th grade and no longer has Ms. Rossi for a teacher but Ms. Rossi took time during school and after school for not just one but a couple days to get our daughter caught up. Our daughter has said that Ms. Rossi makes her feel safe and inspired. I would say that Ms. Rossi has gone above and beyond her teaching duties and genuinely cares about her students. I couldn’t be more thankful for the special interest she has shown our daughter especially in a time when our daughter felt alone and bad about herself.
Thank you is not enough especially after the difficult start to what should have been a great school year for our daughter.
