Belvidere Woman Makes TIME’s 100 Most Influential List
Congratulations to our local lady who made a very important list this year!
TIME magazine just released their list of the 100 most influential people of 2019 and one of those hundred is from right here in the Stateline.
Jeanne Gang is an architect who was born in Belvidere. Her company, Studio Gang has offices in Chicago, New York and San Fransisco.
One of her buildings, the Aqua Tower in Chicago is the tallest woman-designed building in the entire world.
Locally you know her work because she's the reason the Starlight Theatre at Rock Valley College has a roof that's able to open and close.
According to My Stateline, the Starlight Theatre was her first big accomplishment.
