28 Things You Might Actually NOT Hate About Fall Around Rockford
Summer lovers, Rockford's hot, sunny weather is gone. Grab your hoodie and see some reasons I think the fall season in the 815 doesn't suck.
Summer Is Gone Too Fast
I'm good with these sticky hot and humid days being in the past. I love some summer warmth, and I will miss endless days of sunshine, but I really like the fall season. Fall is a very comfortable feeling, sweating outside for doing nothing but walking a block, is NOT comfortable. I never feel uncomfortable in the fall.
You may not be the biggest lover of 'all things fall' but there is much to love about what happens around here. There are still things that might bring you some JOY, before it turns into a long, cold, sun-less winter, as has been forecasted for Illinois and the Midwest.
Winter gets no love from me
The internet is currently in a battle of whether the beginning of August is too soon to be calling it the 'Fall Season', or not. I think it is WAY TOO EARLY to call it the 'Fall Season', but it is not too soon to be thinking about all the very enjoyable things that only happen in Illinois between Labor Day and Thanksgiving.
Cooler days and leaves changing colors...
Nights that require hoodies and campfires...
Lattes of the pumpkin persuasion and hot chocolate under a small mountain of marshmallows...
The calendar space between summer and winter does have some fantastic features, and around the 815, there's a lot to love.
