The only electric dinner train in America is located in Wisconsin, and it's so popular you can't even book a reservation.

The East Troy Electric Railroad operates an adult-oriented dinner train experience that runs on some Saturdays and Sundays, and a few other days during the week.

Wisconsin’s Electric Dinner Train Offers a Unique Experience

If you're lucky enough to get on board, prepare to be stunned, as you'll be seated in fully restored Art Deco dining cars that travel through beautiful fall Wisconsin scenery.

Each car seats about 50 at tables for either two or four, and each one includes a full cash bar, while dinner includes multiple courses during the trip.

Fall Dinner Train Rides Are Already Sold Out

Lasting two and a half hours, the experience is geared toward adults rather than families with young kids, and apparently, every adult wants to do this. That's because September brunch, Fall Harvests, Fall Lunch, and Autumn Glow trains are all listed as sold out.

In October, the Oktoberfest, Epicurean Express, Sweetest Day, and the Harvest Colors Lunch are also sold out.

One Halloween Train Still Has Tickets Available

One train is still open, though: an Adult Halloween train that runs on October 31, with tickets at $160 per person, and if you're interested, you'd need to reserve them today.

For us in Rockford, this isn't very far, only about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes of driving, but since it's sold out, you won't be going. This is me just speculating, but with the dinner train this popular, I'd be shocked if it didn't return in 2027. If it does, don't wait around to book because apparently these seats disappear fast.
