Does anyone else think this is ridiculous?

The Bachelor. The Bachelorette. The show that just keeps on going on because people like to watch other people embarrass themselves on TV and The Real World got dumb after you graduated high school.

Or at least after I graduated high school... Las Vegas, Trishelle, it was all down hill from there.

So we are left with the Bachelor/ette, because it's Monday night and Dancing With The Stars is on a break.

Instead of beginning the season with one hot girl who was axed off of the previous season's Bachelor, ABC has decided to bring two ladies back, mixed with 25 guys.

This bothers me for some reason.

I can't say I've watched more than three full episodes of this show before, but we all know how it works. One person is choosing between 25 other people, pretty much having all of the power in this "relationship."

When the show decided to flip the script and let a woman be The Bachelorette, years ago, I thought that was pretty empowering, or at least even amounts of sexism, but this shake-up for next season makes me feel angry.

I have never labeled myself a feminist before, but the idea that before the woman gets her season to have the "power" in this game, she has to compete with another girl for the spot? With the voting going to the 25 guys who are supposed to be her potential husband?

My goodness. It's becoming The Real World. Party Foul, Chris Harrison.
