130ft Ferris Wheel, New Animal Attractions Coming Illinois’ Brookfield Zoo
Big things are coming to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Chicago's famous Brookfield Zoo including a huge Ferris wheel and the return of the dolphin show.
Brookfield Zoo Anniversary Ferris Wheel
Starting March 15, for this year only and in honor of the Zoo’s 90th anniversary, you can ride the zoo's Anniversary Ferris Wheel.
At a towering 130 feet, the Ferris wheel is located just east of the Zoo's newly landscaped Roosevelt Fountain.
Tickets to ride the Ferris wheel are $8 per person and $6 for zoo members.
Dolphins Are Back at Brookfield Zoo
In addition to the 90th anniversary, the other cause for celebration is Brookfield's dolphins returning home.
The building that houses the dolphins underwent extensive renovations, requiring the animals to be moved to the Minnesota Zoo, according to nbcchicago.com.

New Animal Attractions at Brookfield Zoo
A new aviary will be home to two sandhill cranes,
and a dozen endangered prairie chickens, and will open in June, according to the zoo.
