Brookfield Zoo Announces Free Days for 2024 and 2025
Attention, budget-conscious adventurers and animal lovers! Brookfield Zoo in Chicago is offering free admission on select days for the 2024-25 fall and winter seasons. So, if you've been waiting for the perfect time to see lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!), mark your calendars and get ready for a safari on a shoestring.
Brookfield Zoo Announces Free Days: Because Who Doesn't Love Free Things?
Located at 8400 31st Street in Brookfield, the zoo is throwing open its gates for free on the following days:
- October 1 – November 26, 2024: Every Tuesday and Thursday
- December 2 – December 24, 2024: Mondays and Tuesdays
- January 3 – February 27, 2025: Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
Now, before you start imagining a completely cost-free adventure, remember that while admission is free, parking and attraction fees still apply. Yes, even the most budget-friendly days come with a "but." So, if you’re planning on parking closer than the next county or taking a ride on the carousel, be prepared to fork out a few dollars.
On the plus side, this is still a fantastic opportunity to walk off your holiday calories while bonding with some cute critters. Just think of it as your daily step goal with the added bonus of polar bears and giraffes cheering you on.
And if the weather’s a bit nippy, there’s no better way to celebrate winter than watching the animals that were actually built for it.
For more info, head over to Brookfield Zoo's website and get those free days on your calendar. Because let’s face it, it’s not every day you get to stroll through a zoo for free.
