Byron Observatory is Offering a Free Viewing of The Perseid Meteor Shower
If you don't know what the Perseid Meteor Shower is, here's ALL you need to know. Basically, you can look up at the sky and see an amazing display of stars. And you can have an awesome front row seat for free right here in the Stateline.

The Byron Forest Preserve is offering a free viewing of the Perseid Meteor Shower this month. The event will take place at the Weiskopf Observatory at the Jarrett Prairie Nature Preserve, at 7993 North River Road, on Monday, August 12, Tuesday, August 13, and Wednesday, August 14, from 8:30 p.m. to Midnight. The Forest Preserve invites the public to bring lawn chairs and blankets to view the meteor shower.
