Carpenter's Place in Rockford works hard to help the homeless in our community rebuild their lives so they can get off the streets. They provide counseling, employment training, help with housing, and many other vital services.

Currently Carpenter's Place is preparing for cooler temperatures in Rockford and all of the necessities that come with it. They are asking for donations of some cold-weather, personal care and cleaning items they desperately need.

Here's the Carpenter's Place's list of current needs for October:

COLD-WEATHER ITEMS

  • Travel-size tissue
  • Chapstick-type lip balm
  • Cough drops

PERSONAL CARE ITEMS

  • Stick deodorant
  • Toothpaste (any size)
  • Q tips

ADULTS

  • Men’s boxers
  • Women’s underwear
  • Back packs

CLEANING SUPPLIES 

  • Air freshener
  • Pine Sol/Lysol-type liquid cleaner

FAMILIES

  • Diapers: sizes 4, 5 & 6

Donations cans be dropped off at Carpenter's Place located at 1149 Railroad Ave. in Rockford, OR you can purchase items online and have them shipped directly to Carpenter's Place via Amazon Smile.
