When you live in the Midwest and your hear about a hurricane in Florida, you usually text all the people you know down south to check if they're okay.  I don't know anyone down there. But I do know an animal who is a Florida resident.

Chance The Snapper.

Chance is currently living at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm in St. Augustine, Florida. But, turns out we don't need to worry about our famous gator.

Block Club Chicago details -

His new home could face storms and flooding as Hurricane Dorian sweeps through the area. Chance was brought inside the facility’s hurricane-safe building as part of prep for the storm, the farm wrote on Twitter. The farm brought other animals inside and closed on Tuesday.

So our dude is safe and sound.

We're thinking of Chance The Snapper and ALL of Florida during this hurricane.
