If you like a little mystery and love exploring places from the past, then you need to check out this abandoned rail car that's just a little over an hour from Rockford.

So what is the story on this old rail car sitting along side the train tracks in Peru?

How did it get here?

Why is it just sitting there?

It's kind of spooky yet cool in a way.

The only information I could find was in a couple of places.

One place being Reddit.

Reddit user jcphillips said this about it:

"I've driven by that railcar on Water Street for almost 20 years and I have always wanted to explore it... Thanks for sharing. I'll ask around and see if I can get the story as to why it is there."

The other was this Youtube video of still shots.

One comment from videographer, Abandon or Cool, said that the rail car was on Brunner Street.

Apparently, Water Street and Brunner Street connect according to Google maps when I looked it up.

Well at least we know where it is when go exploring.

I would love to find out more about it. Wouldn't you?
