Christmas Town Will Return to Summerfield Zoo in Belvidere Soon

I might officially be one of those people who gets in the Christmas spirit way too early. But it's hard not to when you hear news like this. Starting Friday, Nov. 15, Christmas Town will be back at the Summerfield Zoo.

People will be able to visit Santa’s Reindeer Barn with Santa’s entire sleigh team of reindeer. On Saturday and Sunday, you can visit with Santa Claus as well.

Owner Rick Anderson is getting everyone excited by explaining -

We are so excited to invite everyone back to Christmas Town at Summerfield Zoo! For our second year we are expanding our lights and decorations. Visitors will be able to enter our magical reindeer barn to meet all of Santa’s sleigh team of reindeer. During your tour of the reindeer barn, you will get to pet and take pictures with Santa’s reindeer. These are truly amazing animals that provide not only a magical, but an educational experience for kids and adults of all ages.

So mark your calendar. According to WREX -

Other opportunities for people include baby reindeer flight school training sessions and photo opportunities. Christmas Town will be open Friday through Sunday starting Nov. 15 and will run through Dec. 22. The zoo will be open from 3-7 p.m. on Firday’s, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
