Crossing Guard Hit by Vehicle and Verbally Assaulted In DeKalb

Parents and residents want to find out who the driver is who allegedly hit a crossing guard with his or her vehicle. To make matters worse, the driver allegedly verbally assaulted the crossing guard.

A social media post on the DeKalb School District 428 Parents,Teachers, Students Community Network Facebook page says the alleged incident occurred on Tuesday morning at the intersection of West Taylor Street and Glidden Ave.in DeKalb.

The post states:

Tyler Elementary Parents, if you witnessed the crossing guard at Taylor and Glidden get hit and verbally assaulted by a vehicle yesterday morning before school (Wed. 8/21) please contact me. We are looking for a better vehicle description or complete license plate.

Drivers are reminded that it is back to school time. If you travel during school hours, please be aware of your surroundings.
