One of my favorite things to do when it's finally nice out is hit some garage sales. I remember as a kid going around my friend's neighborhoods being absolutely mind blown that I could get such cool, random stuff for so cheap!

The garage sales are just the start of all the fun that can be had during this annual event. The dates for this event were just announced and it'll be happening May 6,7,8, and 9. So if you want to be a part of the action, you probably want to make your plans now.

Deals and steals aren’t all you’ll find along the route, though. There are plenty of restaurants, too. Hotels and campgrounds are just as plentiful. Keep in mind, though, accommodations typically fill up quickly, as savvy shoppers know the key to great bargains is arriving early.
