Daylight Savings 2024: Here’s When Illinois Will Spring Forward
Winter has been all over the place in Illinois this year.
It seems like spring and summer will never arrive with how unpredictable the weather has been, especially with how early the sun goes down lately.
Luckily, we will spring forward very soon and we will get to enjoy the sun a little longer!

We might lose an hour of sleep just to see warmer days ahead, but if that's what it takes then I'll sacrifice an hour of sleep!
When Is Daylight Savings In 2024?
Get ready to change all the analog clocks in your house; your stove, microwaves, watches, nightstand alarm clocks, and wall clocks! Luckily, I only have my phone alarm to wake me up and that changes automatically. Phew.

On Sunday, March 10th, 2024, 2:00:00 am local daylight time. Sunrise and sunset will be roughly one hour later on March 10th than the Saturday before. There'll be more light in the evening - yay!

Make sure you get to bed an hour early just to catch up on an extra hour of sleep. Your body can get really thrown off with the time change, so it's important you're taking care of your internal sleep schedule, too.
Just remember, warmer days are near... as long as the Groundhog DOESN'T see his shadow! Fingers crossed we don't have six extra weeks of winter.
