When I think Mardi Gras, I think of a crazy parade with colorful beads flying everywhere, warmer weather and lots and lots of custard stuffed donuts. They're called Paczki, but I can't pronounce that, so I stick with donuts. Ridiculously amazing donuts.

Today is the final day of Mardi Gras, which is more commonly known (and celebrated) as Fat Tuesday. Bring on those donuts, right? That's the first item you need for your very own Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras party.

I don't know if you've ever tried to make donuts at home before, but I have, and I would not recommend it. Trade in an oily mess in your kitchen for some already made Paczki from Valli.

On your way home from donut shopping, stop at the party store and grab a handful of bead necklaces, pick out your favorite colors and skip the bag, just wear them home to get into the spirit of things.

You could find a parade or invite friends over and host your own, or just look in the mirror, see that you're covered in beads with a giant bag of donuts and realize, you've got everything you need for Fat Tuesday.

Once you complete your gluttonous celebration (which is TOTALLY acceptable on Fat Tuesday), you'll probably fall asleep and dream about being part of the celebration in actual New Orleans.

We can't exactly fly you over there today BUT, we can send you to New Orleans this fall to see Katy Perry live in concert! I would say that's a pretty good deal. Once you wake up from that donut nap, join the Secret Society and enter to win!
