Dolly Parton is the best. There's plenty of reasons why that statement is true. From helping pay for the COVID-19 vaccine, to continuously giving amazing advice to her fans, she is an amazing person.

If you've never heard of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, I'm just going to let Dolly herself tell you all about it -

It's an awesome organization. And good news Stateline, Dolly's libraries are making their way to Winnebago and Ogle County thanks to United Way of Rock River Valley. WIFR details -

On Monday, Nov. 30, Associated Bank will present a check to United Way of Rock River Valley, kicking off United Way’s Giving Tuesday campaign to raise funds in support of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

There's even a way for the community to get involved, according to WIFR -

Individuals are encouraged to donate by texting the word DOLLY TO 40403 or visiting here. Every $30 donation supports a year’s worth of books for one child. Every $150 donation supports five years of books for a child, according to United Way of Rock River Valley.

Sound like something you'd like to be a part of? Parents can register their child or children here. The program is free thanks to donations to United Way. Once you're all registered, the child will get their first book, The Little Engine That Could, within 30 to 60 days and then each month, an age appropriate book arrives at their home.

Learn more about Dolly Parton's libraries here. And if you're interested in participating locally head here.
