As you hit the streets of downtown Rockford this weekend for City Market and Fourth of July festivities, keep an eye out for some unique lounging and dining spots. They look like tiny little patios, but they're actually called parklets.

According to the Rockford Register Star, three downtown businesses, for the next three years, will provide these adorable spaces for people like us to have a nice dinner, sip on some coffee or just take a nice little break between shops.

The River District Association, who presented the idea after working with a Chicago urban planning firm, have chosen three locations for the perked up parking spots and they are: Rockford Art Deli, Rockford Roasting Company and Woodfire Pizza.

Take a look.
