Going to the Taste of Chicago, Here’s What You Need to Know
The fun in Chicago's Grant Park begins Wednesday (7/6). Over 70 restaurants and nearly a dozen bands and entertainers. Here's everything you need to know.
The folks at WGN are Taste of Chicago experts and here are their suggestions on how to handle traffic, crowds and parking for this years event.
This is, according to the Taste of Chicago's website, the largest food festival in the world. This year's event runs Wednesday, July 6-Sunday, July 10. 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. on the weekend.
TICKETS
Admission to the park is free but you will need food and drink tickets. A strip of 12 tickets is $8.50. Concert tickets can be bought HERE.
FOOD
69 venues will be serving food & drinks including 20 venues who are new to the event. Here's a full list of all the restaurants.
MUSIC
Some of the acts performing at the Petrillo Music Shell this year include; The Roots, KONGOS, Billy Idol and the Isley Brothers. Chicago native Chance the Rapper also announced he'll be playing on Wednesday night. Here's the full list of performers
