Stay golden, girls. I guess you can say I never saw this coming and I'm still not entirely sure why it exists but hey, I'll take it.

If you remember and still love the iconic sitcom The Golden Girls from the 80s and 90s, attending this event is a total no-brainer.

Fathom Events has put together a six-episode special called Forever Golden! A Celebration of The Golden Girls, and they screening the show across theaters nationwide.

Fathom Events:

Celebrate The Golden Girls with a special screening of some of the most memorable episodes from the series.  Featured episodes include: The Competition, It’s a Miserable Life, The Sisters, Scared Straight, Sisters of the Bride, The Case of the Libertine Bell.

Interestingly, the show is on TV Land and can be watched any time. Matter of fact, The Golden Palace, The Golden Girls spinoff which shouldn't be watched at any time (or ever) and was also canceled after just one season can be streamed on Hulu. Just don't.

If you're a die-hard Golden Girls fan, you probably don't want to miss this event and if my math is correct, you should be able to see the show at plenty of different theaters.

It looks like the Golden Girls classic episode celebration will air in 25 cities in Illinois, most notable Showplace 16 in Rockford.

Now if you're like me and wondering just how much something like this is going to cost before making the decision, tickets are $15 each.

Forever Golden! A Celebration of The Golden Girls will screen on two separate dates, Tuesday, June 7, and then again on Tuesday, June 14.
