Stores are constantly coming and going from malls. And CherryVale Mall in Rockford is no exception. It was last year in March when the news broke that Charlotte Russe would be leaving the mall. They weren't just leaving Rockford though, they were actually closing all of their stores.

After Charlotte Rusee closed all of their stores in 2019, the brand was sold to Toronto-based YM Inc. They then announced they would be reopening 100 retail locations, including the location at CherryVale Mall.

And it's finally back open!

According to WTVO, General Manager at CherryVale Mall said -

The Charlotte Russe brand was built on the idea that shopping should be fun and great fashion should be accessible to everyone. Charlotte Russe makes it easy for shoppers to stay on top of the latest trends by offering a wide array of the latest clothing, footwear, and accessories at affordable prices.

I don't know about you, but shopping was definitely one of the activities I missed most during lockdown. Sure shopping isn't totally back to how it was before, but the option to walk through a store and browse just feels nice to be able to do again.

Charlotte Russ opened Wednesday in its former location near the Food Court.

Trying to shop ASAP? According to the mall's website here are their updated hours right now -

CherryVale Mall will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Happy shopping!
