Heartwarming Letter Every Mom of a 14-Year-Old Boy Dreams of Receiving

An Illinois teacher was nominated for a special honor by her teenage son. The letter he wrote brought tears to the eyes of everyone in the room.

Elizabeth Alvarez from Barbour Two Way Language Immersion in Rockford, Illinois

Elizabeth was nominated by her son Gildardo, who wrote the sweetest letter about his mom.

If I'm being honest, she is my mom, and I wouldn't really do this except for the fact I know her as a teacher and a caring mother. She used to tell me she was stressed about school and working. I would see her studying so late it breaks my heart to see her work so much. No matter how tired she is she manages to wake up early and do smile all day. She’s so hard working and caring for the students no matter what they needed she cares for her kids she thinks of them as family. She is beloved by everyone at school, and I honestly wish I was joking when I say everyone loves her. She makes my friend’s day and her coworkers which she always helps. In all my life I've grown up with her as going from my mother to a teacher to the most loved person in existence to me. I am not only lucky to have her as the best role model anyone could ever ask for but the most amazing mom in the world.

As Teacher of the Week, Elizabeth was surprised with a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and money to spend at WM Day Spa Salon.
