Naloxone (also known as Narcan) was approved for over the counter sales last year and it is now becoming available in Rockford area pharmacies, according to wrex.com. The Narcan nasal spray is now available in Walgreens and Meijer pharmacies. Schnuck's is still deciding whether to carry the spray and CVS could be selling it within the next couple months. Most insurance companies will cover the cost, which is $79.
