How Did Someone Lose A Hot Tub On The Rock River?
I'm not sure how this happened, but someone spotted a hot tub tied to a dock at Prarie Street Brewhouse over the weekend.
How it got there is anyone's guess, but it seems reasonable to believe that a boater may have noticed the rogue hot tub drifting down the river and dragged it over to the pier.
If you're on a boat, you don't want to collide with something like that in the river, which could cause serious damage.
Whoever removed the hot tub from the middle of the Rock River deserves some credit.
Here's why: The hot tub has been floating in the river for a minute or two now.
A Reddit comment mentioned that the hot tub "has been making its way down river for a few days" and "no one has claimed it."
This isn't the first time "Tubby" has been spotted in the Rock River.
Just over three weeks ago, someone saw it "just south of Roscoe," where they thought it was an "inflatable tub," only to realize it's a real hot tub.
At what point does this hot tub become an actual boat? Can we commandeer it, add a motor, and go for a ride? It seems buoyant enough.
The real question is, how did Tubby get in the Rock River? Did someone have it on the shore near the river, and it was eventually taken in? Is that even possible?
Is this the honest answer? Someone with an old and busted hot tub didn't know what to do with it, so they pushed it into the river to make it someone else's problem.
