They are taking all kinds of donations ranging from food to toys to help area families in need for the holidays, according to wifr.com. There are 3 different dates that volunteers will be collecting donated items in Belvidere and Poplar Grove.

  • Saturday, November 26: Countryside Pacemaker, 13517 IL Rte. 76, Poplar Grove, IL
  • Saturday, December 3: Aldi's, 1021 N. State St., Belvidere, IL
  • Saturday, December 10: Countryside Pacemaker, 413 Southtowne Dr., Belvidere, IL

If you can't make it on one of these days, you can also drop off items to the Belvidere Police Department. All of the donations will be given to local churches, food pantries, and the salvation army to help out local families in need. If you are looking for a simple way to help out others and pay it forward, I really encourage you to participate in this event. If you are blessed enough to have a job, a roof over your head, food on the table, and a little extra cash in your pocket, then think about making a donation. You won't regret it, and you will make someone's holiday a little brighter this year.
