Illinois 2nd-Grader’s Show & Tell Item Had Her Mom ‘Cry-Laughing’
It was the very first day of distance learning for Penny, and during her Zoom class's Show and Tell, she reached for the one thing her mom wished she hadn't.
Meghan Maza Oeser is a mother of 6, so back to school time is absolutely crazy for her family. The Oeser's live in Mokena, Illinois (not far from Joliet).
Meghan's daughter, Penny was sitting in front of their laptop on her first day of 2nd Grade, when she was given a task during the class's Zoom call. The task was to find objects around the house that met a certain criteria — something round, something big, something soft ... and something that smells good, according to CafeMom.com.
What Penny grabbed for the 'something that smells good' item, has her mom cracking up so hard that tears rolled from her eyes. Penny's mom thought she going to interrupt the class with how hard she was laughing. Meghan pointed out, after the the 'item' was shared with the class, that Penny could've picked a scented candle, a bottle of perfume or the scented oil diffuser that was right next to her, but that didn't happen.

It’s moments like these that I wish I didn’t go all “balls out” on having children.
