And not just in the Land of Lincoln. Illinois' sub-par drivers ranked nationally.

Car Brands with the Worst Drivers

A new survey from Lending Tree combed over tons of insurance quote data and it revealed which car brands the worst drivers among us choose to drive.

This is some good and useful data. Indeed, you can't judge a book by its cover, but you might be able to pre-judge another driver on the road by the car they drive.

The insurance data even revealed which car brand is involved in the most accidents, even which brand is involved in the most DUIs.

From the Lending Tree survey, here are the top car brands with the most driving incidents per 1000 drivers. "Incidents" were defined as accidents, DUIs, speeding, and citations.

Lending Tree shared, "Across 30 car brands analyzed, Ram has the worst drivers. Nationally, Ram drivers had 32.90 driving incidents per 1,000 drivers from Nov. 14, 2022, through Nov. 14, 2023. Tesla (31.13) and Subaru (30.09) were the only other brands whose drivers had incident rates above 30.00."
