Police arrest owners of Illinois factory making fake team gear for sports fans.

I hate to break the bad news to you but you know those websites where you can purchase expensive team jerseys for cheap. Those are knock offs. They aren't official and some of them look really bad. In fact, if the deal is too good to be true, well then it is. The gear your buying is fake.

Most of the time, they come from other countries where the laws are different. Surprisingly, this recent case happened in Illinois.

According to nbcchicago.com,

"Two men are accused of mass producing thousands of counterfeit sports merchandise out of a factory in the northwest suburbs. Authorities initially suspected a factory in Wheeling was producing fake sports apparel but their investigation led them to a factory in Des Plaines. A search of the factory allegedly turned up three “large and highly sophisticated machines” used to create fake products. Investigators confiscated over 125,000 items worth over $2.5 million, including over 40,000 products bearing the logos of NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA teams."

I wonder how many Mitch Trubisky jerseys they had?
