We'll get to that 'question' in a moment. According to mystateline.com, David Clark, 59 of Loves park was driving his 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix on Five Points Road near the intersection of Aldrich Road in Kingston. It was 6:20 in the morning and all of a sudden David had to slam on his breaks which caused him to slide into a ditch. What was it that caused David to slam into the ditch?

It was a chicken crossing the road.

Yes, a chicken!

Why did the chicken cross the road?

Now we have an answer... to wreck David Cook's day.

So now that's two pieces of good news. David was wearing his seat belt and was taken to Kishwaukee Hospital and treated for his non-life threatening injuries. And we have an answer about the chicken... at least for today.

If you're feeling unfulfilled, here are more reasons the chicken crossed the road from Harvard University's School of Physics.

Still not enough? Let Bill Nye, The Science Guy give it a try.
