Like many, I'm thrilled the mask mandate is gone for now. Returning to 'normal' life is the catchphrase. Could we keep one part of our pandemic lifestyle?

Since the covid pandemic began, we have learned an entirely new level of adaptation. Some of the things we've had to adapt to along the way have been very difficult tasks, some have been fairly easy.

The covid pandemic taught us a new way to shop for groceries

At my regular grocery store, just like anyone's, there were many changes. Some of those changes involved limits on how many of a certain item you could buy, restrictions on using your own shopping bags and temporary plexiglass walls were installed everywhere.

There was one change that once people would get it down was THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN AT A GROCERY STORE EVER!

What got frustrating is that every other time you'd be there, you'd get a group that hadn't figured how to make it all flow nicely and it would trash your mood a bit.

It would actually be on my mind as I pulled into the parking lot,

"will the people inside today be able to get with the flow?"

I'd get that same feeling you get when you pull into McDonald's for a cone praying the ice cream machine is working.

Do you remember the grocery aisle traffic flow stickers?

Once you were around people who could flow with it, it made shopping so much easier... and faster!

The chaos of people just moving all over the place and in all directions at once is just ridiculous. And I love when you make eye contact with someone who is also at their limit with this 'all over the place' nonsense.

"YES! You understand. Welcome to our special club."

The 'club' has only one mission.

Attention ALL Grocery Stores:

Please bring back the aisle traffic arrows!
