Launched in 2021, this statewide program is designed to prepare more Illinoisans, especially women, people of color, and veterans, for registered apprenticeship programs in the trades. The training is tuition-free and includes a stipend plus support services like transportation help and job placement assistance.

How to Apply for Illinois Job Training Grants

Eligible organizations, including schools, non-profits, and workforce groups, can apply for funding between $150,000 and $550,000. Individuals interested in participating should keep an eye out for program providers in their area.
