A Rockford, Illinois Walmart store is facing tons of backlash after a simple Facebook appreciation post backfired on them.

This is the perfect example of "No good deed goes unpunished".

Just a few days ago, the Northridge Walmart location in Rockford posted a photo of two employees smiling with boxes of ramen noodles.  The caption was, "Brrr it is cold outside. We appreciate our associates for braving through the cold to be here.  Stay warm with some ramen noodles soup and crackers".

The post was obviously made with good intentions behind it, but took a wild turn not too long after being posted.  Comments started rolling in with people bashing the company for rewarding their employees with "cheap ramen".

With so much negativity surrounding the post, the location removed the post from their Facebook page.  That didn't stop people from screenshotting and sharing it even more.

I shared the original post on TikTok because it was a trending topic all over Facebook.  Over half a million TikTok views later... people had a lot to say.

Tons of TikTok users made a point to say it's most likely the management at the specific location who provided the ramen, so they probably didn't have much of a budget to work with.  Understandable!

Honestly, it's really not about the ramen.  People just want multi-billion dollar corporations to step up and give their employees the respect they deserve.

Ex-employees shared what they received when they worked at Walmart.

Tara got a .10 cent Temu pin.

Sure, the company didn't have to give their employees anything, but ramen seems to take it to a whole new level of petty, according to the internet.
