The last time these treat makers got together, an ice cream sandwich was result, and they sold out very fast. Now, get ready for an unbelievable ice cream flavor.

Sometimes, the ten minutes you spend killing time by scrolling through your Facebook newsfeed, is a snore-fest. Not today. When you see Brent Murray (owner of Rockton's Dairyhaus Ice Cream), post a selfie outside Halo Cupcakes you know something delicious is going down.

I immediately texted Brent, "whatchu up to?" I knew from the moment I saw the photo above, it would be something I couldn't wait to share with you. What I didn't realize is that it would be an ice cream featuring my absolute favorite cake flavor.

"If Heaven was an ice cream, red velvet cheesecake would be it," said me

Rockton's Dairyhaus Ice Cream, and Liz from Halo Cupcakes in Loves Park, are creating a Red Velvet Cheesecake ice cream. The ice cream is cheesecake flavored and it will be loaded with huge chunks of red velvet cake.

This is a Valentine's Day special that will be on store shelves starting on February 10th and throughout most of February. Like their ice cream sandwich collab, this Red Velvet Cheesecake ice cream won't be around for long. Be sure to listen to The Steve Shannon Show for more details.

Dairyhaus homemade ice cream is available at:

  • Schnuck's in Roscoe and Loves Park
  • Woodman's in Rockford and Beloit
  • Main Street Meats, Roscoe
  • Sugar Britches, Rockton
  • Van Laars, Edgebrook Plaza

or, curbside at, Thursday - Sunday from 3:30 - 8:00 p.m..

Let's just look at some more pictures of this glorious concoction.
