Raising Cane’s Expands Again in Illinois, Now 42 Restaurants

Raising Cane's is expanding so fast in Illinois there are no sites that can accurately keep up with all of the locations, but I've done my own math and learned their total is now up to 42 in the Land of Lincoln after a new restaurant just opened up a few days ago.

I thought I was aware of all the new Raising Cane's in Illinois after the most recent one opened in Quincy a few months ago. Despite having a built-in chicken finger radar, I was wrong. According to Cheapism, there is another new Illinois Raising Cane's that just opened on June 3, 2025 at 6401 95th Street, Chicago Ridge. This is what that address looked like on Google Street View not that long ago.

Scrape Hero and several other online sources claimed there were 39 Raising Cane's in Illinois, but they're wrong, too. I went straight to the source and the official Raising Cane's locator shows a whopping 42 restaurants in Illinois now.

Here's the funny part of this. I have yet to ever set foot in a Raising Cane's despite my chicken finger obsession. As a dad, my family needs a unanimous vote to eat out anywhere and my kids just haven't embraced the chicken finger lifestyle. Not going in a Raising Cane's in Illinois is quite an accomplishment since they're practically everywhere now.
