5 Great Restaurants You’ll Likely See Less of in Missouri in 2024

I am a fan of all of these restaurants. All have been famous chains that I thought were more successful than they apparently were as reports say that you're probably gonna see less of them in Missouri in 2024.

There's an interesting article from Investing.com about brands that have a shrinking footprint on the restaurant landscape. For differing reasons, they estimate that you'll begin to see less of these locations in Missouri this year.

Pizza Hut

The Investing article says "In the US, there are nearly 6,610 Pizza Hut locations. But Pizza Hut plans to bring this number down drastically". That began to become reality in 2023 as Pizza Hut reportedly shuttered 300 stores.

IHOP

The report says that IHOP made news "announcing that they would be closing 30-40 restaurant branches". Last time I checked, IHOP had 20 Missouri locations. That number now could shrink.

Fuddruckers

Fuddruckers reportedly went through bankruptcy in 2010 and the parent company liquidated assets a couple years ago. I can only find one Fuddruckers in Missouri now and that's in Branson. You'd think if any restaurant can survive in Missouri, it'd be Branson. Let's hope.

Burger King

I'm questioning if this will play out in 2024. Yes, the article is right when it says "the burger chain announced that it would be closing 200 to 250 underperforming restaurants" a few years ago, but this year Burger King announced big expansion plans.

Quiznos

What a downfall. Quiznos had almost 5,000 locations years ago and that's now down to around 165? Wow. I can only find 2 in Missouri. Let's see if they survive 2024.
