Early College bumps the previous #1 high school in the nation, Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia, to the #5 spot.

- Northside College Preparatory, Chicago: 37th (31st)
- Jones College Prep, Chicago: 60th (51st)
- Young Magnet High School, Chicago: 63rd (67th)
- Lane Technical High School, Chicago: 70th (84th)
