It has arrived: the roster of major Illinois retailers who will remain closed on Thanksgiving for 2023.

It's so exciting to see more and more retailers staying closed on this special holiday because it used to be such a privilege to get time off to enjoy with family.

I absolutely can't stand waiting in long lines, trying to navigate busy parking spots, and getting to a store just to find out what I want is sold out.  Especially after eating myself into a food coma and trying to rush to the store to get early deals on Thanksgiving day.
