Illinois Has Two Of The Most Bed Bug Infested Cities In The U.S.
Thinking about bed bugs makes anyone's skin crawl. The invasive insect that lives in mattresses and bites those who sleep on them has become a really bad issue in the U.S. recently.
Two cities in Illinois have become hot spots for bed bugs and the city with the worst bed bug problem is one of those two cities. Actually, both Illinois cities on this list are in the top 10.
Harder To Kill Bed Bug Found In Illinois
Earlier this year, a report came out about a new species of bed bugs that have become harder to kill. Where has this new species been found the most? In Midwest states like Illinois and in major cities like Chicago.
The outbreak of bed bugs is on the rise in the U.S. and as many as 50 countries. In America, the cities experiencing the most outbreaks are in the Midwest.
Illinois Is The State With The Worst Bed Bug Problem
Earlier this year, a report came out from Orkin showing the top 50 cities in the U.S. that have bed bugs the worst.
The pest control company found that twoof those cities are in Illinois. Both cities landed in the top 10 and one at the top. If you're looking for a silverlining, Peoria use to be on this list but they have since fallen off.
The three Illinois cities that landed on the list of the cities with the worst bed bugs problem are:

- 1. Chicago
This is the fourth year in a row that Chicago has topped the list of the cities with the worst bed bugs problem.
The Quad Cities Has a Bed Bug Problem
I know we're "close" to Chicago, but we need to worry about bed bug right here in the Quad Cities because they are here.
