Milwaukee Brewers Fan Still Has Burger From 2018 Winning Streak
Chicago Cubs fans hate to admit it, but the Milwaukee Brewers are killing it this season. Twelve wins in a row? The last time the Brewers pulled that off was in 2018, and one Wisconsin fan has the burger to prove it.
Weird Sports Superstitions
I don't consider myself a superstitious person, but you will never find me opening an umbrella indoors or walking under a ladder...just in case.
For many sports fans, superstitions are a big deal, especially when their team is on a hot streak. From lucky jerseys to wearing the same underwear for days in a row, sports fans feel it is their duty to summon up all the good juju for their team when a championship is on the line, and I can totally understand that.
What I don’t understand is why someone would hold onto a hamburger for over six years in honor of their favorite baseball team.

Milwaukee Brewers Superfan Holds Onto 8-Year-Old Hamburger
For the record, I am not a Milwaukee Brewers fan, so I had no idea until recently why so many Brewers fans are in a tizzy over free hamburgers right now.
Long story short, a local hamburger joint called George Webb has pledged to give away free hamburgers for a day any time the Brewers win 12 games in a row. The first time George Webb did this was in 1987, then again in 2018, and on August 20 they will be doing it for the third time, but that's not the weirdest part of this story.
This is.
In 2018 a huge Brewers fan named Todd Sum of Greenfield, Wisconsin preserved and encased the free George Webb burger he got when the team won 12 games in a row, AND HE STILL HAS IT!
Don't believe me? Here's the proof:
Why would a person hold onto a burger from 2018? Todd Sum told WISN he wanted to do something "original" to celebrate the Brewers' achievement.
Now that the Milwaukee Brewers have won 12 games in a row again, and George Webb is getting ready to give away thousands of free burgers on August 20, will Todd Sum be preserving that burger too? He says he's not sure yet, but I'd be willing to bet he comes up with something even more "original" this time.
I guess we'll find out soon.
