One Illinois Dad Created This Castle Home For His Daughter and Now It’s For Sale

When an Illinois man's 4-year-old daughter told him she wanted to live in a castle, Daddy made her castle, and now it's up for sale.

Renovating a home is a LOT of work, but it can be fun too, especially if you have the skills to do the work yourself. (Or the funds to pay someone else to do it). If your dream home requires specific things, renovating allows those dreams to come true, or in the case of this Illinois family, a 4-year-old girl's dreams come true.

Illinois Castle Dream Home

Parents often do outlandish things to make their kids happy, but would you be willing to turn your home into an actual castle because your 4-year-old daughter wants to live in one? I'm not sure many parents would, but this Illinois father did exactly that.

According to The Barrington Hills Observer,  after the Gopin family purchased a home in Barrington Hills, Illinois back in 2010, father Ryan Gopin began renovating it into the castle of his daughter Abby's dreams.

He added turrets, battlements and even a pair of small balconies where the royals can stand and wave to their subjects.

The home Ryan Gopin created doesn't look like the princess castle pictured above, but it is still mighty impressive...

This Barrington Hills castle home is 7,500 square feet with 5 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, an indoor swimming pool, and even a wrought iron gate opening onto a winding driveway like any true princess home should have.
