2 Grammy Winners Will Perform Together at Illinois State Fair

It feels like we are slowly getting closer to warmer weather when we start to hear about who will be performing on the Illinois State Fair Grandstand.

Record-Breaking Attendance at 2023 Illinois State Fair

Last year had record-breaking attendance at the Illinois State Fair with more than 700,000 visitors during the 11-day event which made 2023 the "most highly attended fair since industry standards were enacted," according to Illinois.gov.

The top-notch performers on the Grandstand were a big reason for the record-breaking crowds of 2023. Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, and Old Dominion were the Country headliners at last year's fair, so they're going to have to go big this Summer to top that lineup.

The First 2 Grandstand Performers Announced and Both Are Grammy Winners

The Illinois State Fair has revealed the first two Grandstand performers of 2024 and fans of Alt-Country will be lining up for tickets beginning February 3.

4-time Grammy Winner Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will perform at the Illinois State Fair on Sunday, August 11.

The band’s latest album, “Weathervanes,” combines a storyteller at the peak of his craft with a band who has earned its place in rock and roll history. The songs on the album have been described as those that make you cry alone in your car while others make you sing along with thousands of strangers.

Opening for Isbell will be Ashley McBryde, who also is a multiple-time Grammy award winner and holds dozens of ACM and CMA Awards as well.

Ticket sales for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit go on sale Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.

The Illinois State Fair will be held August 8 through 18 in Springfield, Illinois.
