
Study Names Rockford and Joliet Among Rudest Cities in the Midwest
It could be all my time in Rockford, but I didn't think we were this rude.

I guess if you want to believe Best Betting Michigan, the folks in Rockford are some of the rudest people in the Midwest.
According to their study, 20% of people, the highest percentage anywhere in the Midwest, "have rude customer service experiences."

The average across the midwest for lousy customer service run-ins is 5%. Yikes.
Is this even remotely true, or am I so rude myself that I don't even notice it is happening?

Overall, Rockford was named the Midwest's second most rude city.
Columbus, Detroit, Joliet, and Kansas City were in the top (or bottom) six, with only Fort Wayne, Indiana, considered more rude than any other city.
The study doesn't hold back when attacking Rockford drivers either, saying that "drivers in Rockford are the worst offenders here with only 20% routinely complying with traffic laws."

Only 20%? Is this study legit or is it entirely made up?
So sure, we've all had run-ins with bad customer service and/or awful driving habits.
The same could be said in just about any other city in America, and who knows, maybe this study caught Rockford on an "off day."
Regardless, I'd take stoplights in Rockford over navigating Chicago traffic any day of the week.
