Would You Buy this Indiana Home That’s Ordinary on the Outside but a Total Bombshell on the Inside?
I was perusing Facebook a couple of weeks ago when something really caught my eye. That something was HOT PINK.
With the recent success of the Barbie movie, there seems to be a lot more "hot pink" going around. It's a polarizing color and yes, it screams "BARBIE" but I just absolutely can't help myself. I love it. So, when I saw the interior of this seemingly normal home in Beech Grove, Indiana, I asked myself if I could see myself living in this space and loving it. The answer is a resounding, YES!
When I originally saw this house on the Victorian Style Homes and More Facebook page, it was still on the market but now the Zillow listing indicates that it has been sold. Broker Cate Waggoner-Lee, team leader of The Craftsman Group at RE/MAX Advanced Realty told the IndyStar that it sold faster than expected. Within a weekend, it was under contract.
The article went on to say that the couple who sold the unique property redid it themselves. It started as a pandemic project when Nicki Runnels was out of a job. She traveled far and wide to pick up the unique decor and pink appliances.
Bright pink cabinets pop against a sunny orange.
Her husband did the cabinet work.
One of the most unique parts of the home, is the choice in wallpaper. Here you see what looks like melting ice cream and sprinkles.
Next, enter a small shrine to singer Dolly Parton.
With a leopard rug, vintage furniture, and tin ceiling, you won't find character like this anywhere else.
The home also features soft pinks in the bathroom and rainbow in the bedroom.
Take a virtual tour around the home.
