Janesville Rotary Gardens Holiday Lights

More than a million and a half lights, eleven miles of extension cords, and the most beautiful reflection pond. Time to visit this popular Wisconsin holiday attraction.

Of all the large-scale holiday light displays I've visited in Wisconsin, this one in Janesville is by far my favorite. Every year, it gets bigger and brighter.

The first time I wrote of the Rotary Gardens light show was in 2018, and that year, show organizers were excited to have grown from 300,000 lights to 500,000. Five years later the number of lights has tripled.

Rotary Botanical Gardens Executive Director Becky Kronberg told NBC 15 that the number of lights is up "a little bit" from 2022, to now feature 1.5 million lights. And, those additional lights are not the only improvements for this year's show.

There's also a new building on the garden grounds that provides a warm space to stop with bathrooms and concessions inside.

What makes the Rotary Botanical Gardens Holliday Light Show so beautiful to me are the reflections in the pond. It doesn't matter from what angle you the reflections, they're just stunning.
