We've all been through the wretched aftermath of being dumped. We turn to something to take away the sadness... food! Eat a bunch of comfort food and cry yourself to sleep. Not this woman.

Before I share the best advice I was ever given to help get over a breakup, meet Tan Shen, a 26-year-old woman in China. I really feel for this girl. She got dumped by her boyfriend and decided some Kentucky Fried Chicken would take away her pain. Sounds like a plan to me!

I'd create pain and sadness in my life to justify a 3-piece, extra crispy, with a biscuit, mashed potatoes and some slaw.

But, my girl Tan was apparently teetering on the edge and rode right off the rails. Instead of eating her meal and going home and crying herself to sleep, she stayed at the 24 hour KFC and had some more chicken. This girl was completely losing it and found comfort in a 'seven-day fried chicken binge.' For seven straight days Tan never bothered anybody, she just sat at table and ate meal after meal after meal. It took three days before an employee noticed her destroying her arteries to match her broken heart.

The tasty fresh chicken wasn't the only thing keeping her from going home, she later said that there were too many things in her apartment that reminded her of her now ex-boyfriend and she needed time to think. She even called in sick to work so she could stay in that KFC for an entire week.

Tan is now living at home with her mom and trying to get an appointment with a cardiologist to open her arteries back up. Grab more 'finger-lickin' good' details here.

Don't feel like taking your emotions out in public, take your blubbering self into the kitchen and make some Sriracha Fried Chicken. Give yourself something really worth crying over, double the amount Sriracha in this recipe.

MICHAEL SYMON'S TWICE-FRIED CHICKEN WITH SRIRACHA HONEY

  • 2 tablespoons seafood seasoning, such as Old Bay
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds, toasted and cracked
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Kosher salt
  • One 4-to 5-pound chicken, cut into 12 pieces (2 breasts, halved, 2 legs, 2 thighs, 2 wings and 1 backbone, halved)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons Sriracha
  • Lard, for frying
  • 1 1/2 cups instant flour, such as Wondra

Now, the BEST BREAKUP advice I was ever given:

The best way to get OVER somebody, is to get UNDER someone else.
