Can you please help me find this monkey?

A couple of weeks ago my son went to Europe and since my husband and I couldn't afford to go, we decided to send along a symbol of our relationship- a small stuffed monkey. It was one of the first gifts I got for Ben after we found out that we have a mutual love for monkeys and people often refer to us as love monkeys because we're constantly picking at each other. From that point on, for the last seven years, we've gotten each other something monkey related for every birthday and Christmas. It's weird,  I know, but that's us.

The whole point of sending the monkey is that we hoped my son, Tanner, would take pictures of it in front of popular tourist destinations like Big Ben, the London Bridge and so forth. A little piece of us being there was better than nothing.

The trip started out smoothly and we received pictures from both London and Paris, but once my son got to Rome, the photos stopped. I just assumed it was because he didn't have wifi access and figured I'd just ask to see the photos when he got home.

Tanner came home a couple of days ago and the first thing I asked him was to send me the photos of the monkey in Rome, Capri, Pompeii and Sorento; he paused for a second and said, "yeaaah, about that...I lost the monkey." I thought he was kidding; my kid is notoriously known for his sarcasm and mad desire to get a rise out of me. He wasn't and now I'm p----ed. He thinks he lost it at the Sistene Chapel. Now I'm on a mission to find the monkey and either a. get the photos I was hoping for or b. to get him back. I know it's just a stuffed monkey but it has a lot of sentimental value.

Please share this, I'm hoping the message will somehow reach Europe and I'll maybe get him back.
