Is This Really The Most Popular Milkshake In Illinois?

We all have a favorite milkshake flavor, but the most popular in Illinois might surprise you.

Back in my high school years, I worked at Coldstone Creamery and consumed so many milkshakes over the course of two years.  Yeah, I had a go-to shake I always made and to this day I'm still not sick of it: Cookie's 'n Cream!

Something about those Oreos mixed with vanilla ice cream just hits the spot.

Cookie's 'n Cream was actually the nation's third most popular flavor, chocolate came in at second place, and strawberry ranked #1 on the list.

That's crazy because Wisconsin also chose strawberry as their favorite.  What about Illinois, though?

The Most Popular Milkshake In Illinois Is.....

Yup, strawberry.  How was this even determined you ask?

According to RTA Outdoor Living,

"we love milkshakes and wanted to figure out what the most popular milkshake flavors are across America. To do this, we investigated Google Trends data over the past 12 months for the most popular milkshake flavors in order to determine the top flavor in every U.S. state."

I would've thought chocolate or vanilla were the most popular flavors in the state only because I've never heard anybody say strawberry is their go-to milkshake.

To me, it's not necessarily a universal taste everyone likes, like myself.

I'm all about the chocolate, but that's probably because my mom has always loved chocolate.  She will only get a chocolate Frosty from Wendy's and refuses to get vanilla.  I don't blame her, it's delicious!
